Snowflake-to-Snowflake Data Sharing

• Zero data duplication — Shared data is accessed in-place, no ETL required
• Always up-to-date — You always query the latest data maintained by Nexalis
• No storage costs — Shared data does not count against your Snowflake storage; you only pay for the compute you use to query it
• Native Snowflake integration — Shared tables behave like regular read-only tables and work with all Snowflake features (Snowsight, connectors, BI tools, Snowpark, etc.)

Required Information

• Organization name
• Account name
• Cloud provider and region (e.g. AWS us-east-1, Azure westeurope)

How to find this information

1. Open the account selector at the bottom of the left navigation menu.
2. Hover over your account, then click the link/copy icon and select Copy account identifier (this copies <organization_name>.<account_name>, which contains both names).

Setup Process

1. Collect the information listed above
2. Share it with Nexalis
3. Nexalis configures the share and grants it to your account
4. Accept the share in your account and create a database from it (see below)

Accepting the Share

1. Navigate to Data Products » Private Sharing.
2. On the Shared with you tab, locate the share from Nexalis.
3. Click Get, choose a database name (e.g. NEXALIS), and select the roles that should have access.

After Setup

• gold_<org_name>_avg_std — Aggregated time-series data with averages and standard deviations
• gold_<org_name>_hf_std — High-frequency time-series data in standardized format

Security

• Read-only access — Shares are strictly read-only; your account cannot modify Nexalis data
• Account-level grants — Only the account you provide is granted access
• Role-based access control — Within your account, access to the shared database is managed through your own Snowflake roles
• Audit — All queries against shared data appear in your account’s standard query history
